Barbara Pravi: Significa mucho para mi, que la gente ame y entienda mi canción incluso siendo en francés

Barbara Pravi, representante de Francia en el Festival de Eurovision 2021 y una de las grandes favoritas para la victoria, nos ha concedido una entrevista en exclusiva en la que envía un mensaje a todos los lectores y canta Voilà a capella para todos.

Hola Barbara, soy Pedro Palomo director de Viva Eurovision. Es un placer entrevistar a una gran cantante como tú.

Hola Pedro encantada de conocerte.

Me gustaría saber que te llevo a crear Voilà y si fue creada para Eurovision?

Decidí crear Voilà para Eurovision, pero si no hubiese sido elegida en la predicción francesa, Voilà habría formado igual parte de mi álbum.

¿ Como te sientes al representar a Francia en la competición musical más importante del mundo ?

Me siento orgullosa y motivada, estoy tan contenta de que Francia me escogiera, porque significa mucho para mi y estoy profundamente enamorada del lenguaje y la cultura francesa.

¿ Como te sientes al ser una de las favoritas para ganar Eurovision ?

No quiero sentir ninguna presión, porque el concepto de la competición en si ya es un peso sobre mis hombros, así que recibo esta información de ser favorita con mucho cariño, para mi significa mucho que la gente ame y entienda mi canción incluso siendo en francés, eso significa que las emociones son la fuerza más grande del mundo y me siento muy contenta al respecto.

Te hemos visto de promoción en España, has llegado a ser número uno en ventas. ¿ Como recibes el apoyo de los eurofans españoles?

Me siento tan feliz, de hecho no podía creerlo cuando vi que Voilà era tan popular en España, cuando escribes una canción no puedes imaginar que pueda cruzar tantas fronteras, espero regresar a España para cantar a todos los eurofans y para todo el país.

¿ Con que artista te gustaría hacer un dueto ? ¿ Has considerado a Blas Cantó ?

Me gustaría conocer a María José Llergo, me encanta su música y su estilo, siento muchísimas emociones cuando escucho su música.

¿ Has hablado con algún representante francés y te han dado algún consejo ?

Conozco Amir, Madame Monsieur y Alma, no me han dado consejos como tal, pero si me han enviado muchos ánimo y cariño.

¿ Has escuchando canciones de otros países ? ¿Cuales son tus favoritas?

Creo que la competición es muy dura este año creo que hay grandes artistas, me encanta Destiny por ejemplo.

¿ Cual es tu canción favorita en la historia de eurovision ?

Creo que es « ne partez pas sans moi » from Celine Dion, or « Amar Pelos Dois » from Salvador Sobral.

¿ Que significaría para ti ganar eurovision y donde te gustaría que se celebrara ?

Sabes que? No puedo proyectar tan lejos, porque pondría demasiada presión sobre mis pequeños hombros, por supuesto espero poder ganar, porque me gustaría que mi historia y mis letras fueran escuchadas, pero el simple hecho de participar en eurovision es ya enorme, así que haré todo lo que esté en mi mano y ya veremos a partir de ahí.

¿Vendrás de Tour a España si la situación lo permite?

Ohhh si espero que si.

I would like to know, what prompted you to create Voilà? Was it intended for Eurovision?

I decided to make Voilà for the Eurovision Song Contest, but If I hadn’t been elected in the French selections “Voilà” would have been in my album.

How do you feel about representing France in the most important music competition in the world?

I feel proud and motivated. I am so happy that France choose me, it means a lot because I am profoundly in love with the French language and the culture.

How do you feel being one of the favorites to win eurovision 2021?

I don’t want to feel any pressure because the concept of the competition is already a big weight on my shoulders, so I receive this information with love. To me, it means that people seem to love and understand my song, even if all the words are in French. It means that emotion is the most powerful force in the world, and I feel so glad about it.

We have seen you promoting in Spain, where you have gotten great support and have reached number one in sales, how do you perceive the affection of the Spanish Eurofans?

I feel so happy! Actually I couldn’t believe it when I saw that Voilà was so popular in Spain! When you write a song, you can’t imagine that it will cross the frontier!
I hope I will come back to Spain and sing for the eurofans and all the country very soon!

What Spanish artist would you like to do a duet with? Have you considered Blas Cantó?

I wish I could meet Maria Jose Llergo, so hard. I love her music, love her style. I feel so many emotions when I listen to her music.

Has any French representative at Eurovision talked to you and advised you?

I know Amir, Madame Monsieur and Alma. They didn’t give me “advices” but they send me a lot of encouragement and love.

Have you listened to the songs of the rest of the countries? What are your favorites?

I think there is a massive competition this year! There is a lot of great artist.
I love Destiny for example.

What is your favorite song in the history of eurovision?

I think it is « ne partez pas sans moi » from Celine Dion, or « Amar Pelos Dois » from Salvador Sobral.

What would it mean for you to win Eurovision and where would you like it to be held?

You know, I can’t project so far.
It will put too many pressure on my little shoulder ! Of course I hope I can win. Because I really want my story and my words to be heard. But actually, the simple fact of making Eurovision is already enormous. So I will do my best. And we will see from there!

Will you come on tour to Spain if the situation allows it?

Oh yeah I hope so !!!
